Healthcare
The operating perspective.
For a healthcare business, organize the operating need, expected collections, and recurring commitments before discussing a financing structure.
Which collections support the scenario?
Separate expected cash receipts from charges or revenue recorded in the business accounts. Consider what assumptions depend on payment processing, disputed amounts, or other collection conditions. A cash scenario is useful only when those timing assumptions are visible.
What does the business need to keep operating?
Organize payroll, occupancy, equipment, supplies, and other commitments relevant to the practice. Identify material changes to the operating schedule. Keep the discussion at the business level; patient information is unnecessary for an initial financing inquiry.
Which documents need a separate review?
Locate existing financing and equipment agreements and identify questions about guarantees, security, and ongoing duties. Any later document request should use an appropriate process. Do not include patient records, health information, or confidential account details in the website form.
Original planning questions, informed by the SBA’s business financial-management guidance and the FTC’s business-financing overview. The questions are a general framework, not an assessment of a particular business or an offer of financing.
